1945 Notre Dame Football Team

by Brian Troia
(omaha, ne)

I have a game program signed by every member of the Notre Dame football team in 1945, and some of the priests, the president of the university and other signatures that I do not know. Can you value this piece? BRIANTROIA@GMAIL.COM

Rob:
Brian, that sounds like an incredible piece of history! In terms of value, I think your best bet would be to contact a reputable third-party authenticator such as James Spence or PSA/DNA. Depending on exactly whose signatures you have on that program, I would expect this to be a highly valuable piece of Notre Dame memorabilia.

Keep your eyes open for autograph shows in your area, as many times there are dealers that specialize in vintage sports memorabilia, and you might be able to get an appraisal from them. But, keep in mind they usually will offer about 50% of the autograph worth to cover their costs..

Also, Steiner Sports is an official licensed dealer of Notre Dame sports memorabilia, including game used and one of a kind pieces, you might want to check them out if you are a Fighting Irish fan. I have no financial interest with Steiner Sports, by the way!
