Auto racing autographs are more easily obtained by collectors compared to other sports.
Sponsors and promoters of auto racing encourage collecting driver autographs. Most of the drivers will make autograph appearances in their trailers and sell their merchandise and memorabilia. They also will attend "meet and greets" before the race at one of their car sponsor's tents or events.
Many racing fans collect race-used equipment, and parts of the race cars, especially the tires. These items are not signed but get you into the race and look great displayed!

I saw Jeff Gordon make an appearance at the tent next to mine at the race in Phoenix, AZ last year just hours before the race started.
