Collecting Autographed Golf Memorabilia

john dalyObtaining pro golf autographs and autographed golf memorabilia at a celebrity golf pro-am is an excellent option to get your favorite golfers signature.

Most of the players are more than happy to sign at the golf course during the pro-am events (Fred Couples being a notable exception), and there are also many celebrities that are regulars at these events.

Some of them, notably Phil Mickelson will only sign after the round is complete. This is understandable as some athletes want a practice round such as a pro-am to be similar to a tournament round, depending on the shape of their game and temperament and how soon their tee times are.

Getting golf autographs TTM (through the mail) is always a good idea, and Phil Mickelson willingly signs TTM. Start your golf autographs success writing to him in the off season, and see what I mean!

I have been a golf autograph collector since 1995 at PGA and Senior PGA Tournaments. Golf tournaments provide relatively easy access to the players, along with celebrities on Pro-Am days to get sports memorabilia signed.

What other sport can you think of where you literally walk along with the athletes like you do with golf?

I usually get flags and other autographed golf memorabilia from tournaments for players to sign, but I also like to collect autographed golf balls. Nothing looks better to me than a signed golf ball prominently in a golf ball display case.

With the authentic autographed sports memorabilia industry continuing to grow and with it, big money at state, many players and celebrities are weary of signing items that aren't related to the specific tournament, or those that could be worth a lot of money for resell.

Flags, hats, and tickets from the tournament you are attending are usually a safe bet! Items that are exclusive to the golf course or golf resort the tournament is being held will work too.

Obviously, when you think about golf autographs you think of Tiger Woods who has elevated golf onto the world sports scene, while putting Woods in rock star status.
