Collecting Baseball Autographs By Mail

Collecting autographs of baseball players through the mail is an excellent way of building your collection. Depending on the player, success rates are decent collecting through the mail.

The nice thing about collecting baseball cards is you can send a standard sized envelope, with a smaller size SASE folded inside.

Always put the card in a plastic baseball card sleeve to avoid it being damaged through the mail.

The Absolute Best Baseball Card Sleeves for Autograph Collecting Through the Mail!

Retired baseball players are generally willing signers through the mail. I like to write to players I watched as a kid, who maybe only played major league baseball for a couple of seasons.

These guys were larger than life back then, and are fun to connect with and collect their autographs. If I happen to have a story, or even a picture I took of them, I like to share that as well.
Below are addresses to contact Major League Baseball players in care of their team.

One strategy that has served collectors well through the years is to obtain signatures before the people become superstars. Easier said then done, but well worth the effort when it works out right!

Do you follow a certain sport or specific team closely? For instance, let’s say you are a Dodgers fan. Who are their top prospects in college or the minor leagues? Why not send a letter to the player, enclose a baseball card, 3x5 card, whatever, and get their signature for the price of postage.
