Bob Marley Autograph

by Tori Smith
(Toronto)

When Bob Marley played Maple Leaf Gardens on his Babylon by Bus Tour a bunch of my friends and hung around outside for maybe an hour or so. Finally after being told to go home a woman came out and asked if we were waiting for Bob. We said yes and she took us inside and up to the Hot Stove Lounge.

Bob came to the top of the stairs and signed each of ticket stubs with a green felt tip pen. Mine says Live Love Rasta Bob Marley. Then we all left pretty happy. And then next year he died.

I've never thought about it much but what's the value of that ticket? (Besides giving me a great story and memory.)

Rob:
Tori, I have seen cut signatures of the great Bob Marley go for over $1,000, easy. With yours having the extra inscription, I would expect it to be more, but it all depends on the condition and what someone is willing to pay for it.

Being an autograph collector I am biased, but you might have answered your own question about it's worth to you as you relive this incredible story!
