Don Mattingly Autograph

Hi, when I was about 14 years old, my step-dad took me to the mall on a Saturday to get clothes for my recital. As we were walking by the Field of Dreams sports memorabilia shop, we noticed a line out the door, and around the corner!

To our surprise, Don Mattingly was there that day signing autographs for free! Major League Baseball had a contest that this store had won for "Donnie Baseball" to come sign for free to promote the store.

Well, we got in line and waited our turn. When we got up to the table, Don Mattingly was so friendly, and asked me how old I was and if I was a baseball player. He laughed when I said not really, I'm into video games, but that I know who he is, and how much my step-dad likes him!

He signed autographs for both of us, but unfortunately this was before every cell phone had a camera on it, so no pics with him!
