Collecting Famous Football Players Autographs and Signed Football Memorabilia

I am working on growing my collecting of famous football players autographs lately.

Unlike baseball autographs football autographs can be quite a challenge as there is nowhere near the fan accessibility that you find in baseball, and other sports.

Many retired and current famous football players do make appearances at sports autograph signings though, particularly in the off-season, and that has made this category of autograph collecting a little bit easier in recent years.

Players such as Steve Young are also television broadcasters, and that can provide opportunities to get their autographs in-person and through the mail.



Steve Young has a charitable foundation, The Forever Young foundation, and I was able to obtain his autograph through the mail by sending him this Sports Illustrated along with a small donation to his foundation.

This is a good way to get signed football memorabilia from your favorite football greats if they happen to have their own foundations or are aligned with a specific charitable cause.
