Free AutographsYeah, I know - nothing in life is free. There are numerous opportunities to get free autographs, in person and through the mail for just the price of postage. Many times, when there are retail store openings or vendor promotions, local celebrities and athletes will make appearances and you can get good celebrity autographs at these events. Depending on the person, they will sign only specific items, generally a photograph or item that is supplied by the promoter. If you the follow "the rules" however, with luck you may be able to get your item signed as well.
Besides these public autograph sessions, book signings also provide opportunities to get signatures from athletes and celebrities. Again, the general trend is for the author to only sign the specific book they are promoting, but it never hurts to bring another item as well!
